All good things take time, which explains why our Ilish festival finally kicks off this August! At 6 Ballygunge Place, we never compromise with quality, which is why we aligned our Ilish festival at a time when the fish is available in abundance. The tasty fish has been moulded into a specially curated menu by our in-house celebrity, Chef Sushanta Sengupta (Director, 6 Ballygunge Place) and he says,
“Ilish festival is synonymous with 6 Ballygunge Place and it has become a part of our yearly festival calendar. We started this festival much before everyone else. However, the availability of fresh Ilish becomes a concern at times and hence we plan our festival along with the supply of fresh fish. This year we have innovative items like Purbhora morich Ilish, Badami Ilish maacher roast, Begun Ilisher Jugalbandi etc.”
The festival menu comprises of tantalizing Ilish items like Kancha Aam diye Ilish Maacher Roll, Dhakai Bhuna Ilish, Badami Ilish Maacher Roast, Ilish Maach Diye Biryani and so much more at the 6 Ballygunge Place fine dining addresses at Ecosuite and our flagship restaurants.
The 6 Ballygunge Place Thali is not far behind. Look forward to relishing Begun Ilisher Jugalbandi, Purbhora Morich Ilish, Ilish Maacher Matha diye Kochu Saag along with the quintessential Ilish Thali.
Ilish festival starts from 2nd August at:
